Orange County is at a cross roads in keeping the integrity of our beautiful environment. All around us we can see first hand the effects of poor decisions regarding our use of land and water resources. We can do better and work to be outstanding stewards of our precious resources by leaving Orange County in a better condition than when we grew up.
Why is it important to have Soil & Water Districts? (limit 150 words)
The pressures today on our environment are immense. We must have a governmental body that can serve as both watch dog and advocate for the environment. No time in our history is this more important than right now. Orange County also faces the pressure of environmental degradation from surrounding counties, the state, our country and the world. We are very inter-connected and need a strong active voice to build consensus for protecting our environment.
