Why are you running for this office and what qualities and skills do you bring to this position? (limit 150 words)
“No Flint Here!” – primary campaign theme. We cannot permit the same conditions to occur here in Florida which lead to contamination and a water crisis in Flint, MI.

It is my goal to focus attention on maintenance of existing systems, thereby reducing overall cost and allowing us to be proactive, rather than reactive.

Why is it important to have Soil & Water Districts? (limit 150 words)
Soil & Water Conservation Districts (SWCD) demonstrate their importance by protecting land and water resources. SWDCs are becoming more significant participants in conservation programs and in State land and water resource management decisions.

SWDCs are responsible for bringing together the appropriate local resources for the development and implementation of soil and water conservation practices/plans to address concerns. Additionally, SWDCs are charged to carry out conservation measures in partnership with private and public landowners.
